Son, there are going to be people telling you what to do and where to go for your entire life.  They’ll tell you what colleges to go to, what girls to date.  They’ll even tell you how to dress and what to do for a living.  They’ll tell you where to live and how to live, what to say and even what to feel.  Promise me you’ll never listen to them.  Promise me you’ll only answer to the voice in your head and the feeling in your chest.  Those two things hold infinitely more wisdom than any half-hearted advice or guidance from people too afraid to hear their own voices.  If you trust in yourself, good things will happen.
